Local & Organic
We do our best to purchase from local, preferably organic, farmers. There are many reasons to avoid supporting agribusiness and biotechnology corporations, including decreased nutrient levels, degraded soils, polluted water, unfair subsidies, endangerment of family farms, poor living conditions for the animals, and increased suffering for farmers worldwide. So far, our locally-sourced items include:
- Spelt flour
- Oats
- Eggs
- Honey
- Chicken
Non-local organic farmers we support provide us with fairly traded:
- Coffee
- Teas
- Sugar
- Cocoa
Letter to the Editor
Whenever he has time, Josh writes articles for the Cargill Area News and occasional letters to the editor to other local papers. He writes about issues that he feels are of critical importance and are not getting enough media attention.
